West Virginia! It truly is "almost heaven". We enjoyed a brief stay at Riffle Run Campground near Orlando, West Virginia. This is a first come, first serve Army Corps of Engineers park located near Interstate 79. We typically don't go to parks that we can't reserve ahead of time, but we took a chance on this one, on a Saturday, and got a site. We are glad we did.

What we love about Riffle Run Campground:
1. Scenic area - hills, water, creek
2. Deer
3. Campsites were adequate
4. Full service campsites! Woohoo! Yes, sewer.
5. Friendly hosts
6. Dog walking space and trails
7. Really nice playgrounds!

What we didn't love about Riffle Run Campground:
1. First come, first serve - For us, we like to reserve ahead of time and not worry about driving somewhere and not having a campsite.
2. Verizon service was weak here, unusable at times.

Next Stop: Blackwater Falls State Park, West Virginia
