রমজানের মাঝে গাজায় ত্রাণ প্রবেশ বন্ধ হওয়ায় দুর্ভিক্ষের আশঙ্কা করছেন সংশ্লিষ্টরা। সকল ত্রাণবাহী ট্রাকের প্রবেশ বন্ধে এরইমধ্যে সীমান্তে অতিরিক্ত সেনা মোতায়েন করেছে ইসরায়েল। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেনিয়ামিন নেতানিয়াহুর এ পদক্ষেপের তীব্র নিন্দা জানিয়েছে জাতিসংঘ। একইসঙ্গে ইসরায়েলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধবিরতি চুক্তি লঙ্ঘন ও মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের অভিযোগ এনেছে মিসর, কাতারসহ অন্যান্য মুসলিম দেশগুলো। ত্রাণ প্রবেশ বন্ধ করার খবরে আতঙ্কগ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়েছেন গাজার বাসিন্দারা। খাবার নিতে জাবালিয়ায় ফিলিস্তিনি শরণার্থীদের সহায়তাকারী জাতিসংঘের ত্রাণ সংস্থা UNRWA-র কেন্দ্রে ছুটে যান তারা। পবিত্র রমজান মাস এবং ইহুদিদের বসন্তকালীন উৎসব- পাসওভার চলাকালে, গাজায় সাময়িক যুদ্ধবিরতি কার্যকরে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের প্রস্তাবে ইসরায়েল সম্মত হলেও এতে রাজি হয়নি হামাস। আর এতেই চটে গিয়ে আবারও গাজায় ত্রাণ প্রবেশ বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে নেতানিয়াহু প্রশাসন।

The United Nations has strongly condemned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's move. At the same time, Egypt, Qatar and other Muslim countries have accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement and committing crimes against humanity. Gaza residents have been terrified by the news of the cut-off. They rushed to the UNRWA center in Jabalia to get food. During the holy month of Ramadan and the Jewish spring festival of Passover, Israel agreed to the US proposal to implement a temporary ceasefire in Gaza, but Hamas did not agree. This angered the Netanyahu administration and led it to stop aid supplies to Gaza again.
