Описание: Richie "Boogey" Martinez (10th Planet San Diego) is one of Eddie Bravo's top black belt competitors and Rubber Guard players. Boogey captured the CJJ Welterweight title at EBI 13 after defeating Bobby Emmons by D'arce choke.

Shinya Aoki was the one who brought the Japanese Necktie to 10th Planet and is part of their system. Richie executed the Japanese Necktie in two of his MMA bouts and is one of his go-to moves. I've included a short highlight of this submission in the first half of the video.

The second half of the video includes the Japanese Necktie strangle breakdown. This submission is essentially a D'arce variation without figure four locking the arms and it is a very strong choke/neck crank.
