This is based on a independence playing which means that while foot cowbell (left foot) is performing in one (bpm) tempo with the left (and right foot in 4/4), hands are playing in different independent tempos and in different metrics and tempos are stretched also (speeding up and slowing down) with the hands while feet are keeping one constant fixed tempo/time. Legs are playing 8-th note (hi-hat) in left foot and 2 sixteen notes with right foot. Also there are 11/8, 5/8 and 7/8 irregular/odd time patterns (and improvisations) which are also changing tempos while feet are not changing the tempo. That is called polymetric playing and polyrhythms in given moments. Also there's open improvisation over 4/4 with the legs.
