A newborn baby girl was rescued near the residence of a 70-year-old man accused of raping a minor and an alleged abortion case in Byasanagar, Jajpur district, Odisha late on Monday night, police said. The infant, thought to be born within the last week, was found lying on the road close to the accused’s house and was quickly brought to Jajpur Road Medical Hospital with help from local residents and police.
