The 2022 CIF State Cross Country meet was held on November 26 at Woodward Park in Fresno, CA. The course is 5K. This is Race 1 - Division 4 Girls. In California cross country, schools are divided into five divisions based on enrollment (with D1 being large schools). CIF won't let us show you more than 2 minutes of this race so you'll just see the Start, Mile 1/Mile 2.1 and the Finish. Until they eventually let us in, that is it for the actual race slices. However, there is no limit on non-race coverage so we show you the complete awards presentations, as well as interviews with team champion JSerra high.
Pre-race favorite JSerra high (San Juan Capistrano) led throughout the race and repeated as CIF State Division 4 champions with a score of 71 points, going 4-11-14-20-22. Oaks Christian high placed second with 82 points, and La Canada high placed third with 133 points. Junior Payton Godsey of Oaks Christian extended her lead throughout the race, eventually winning by almost 30 seconds in a time of 17:00. Chiara Dailey of La Jolla, only a freshman, placed second in 17:27, and sophomore Holly Barker of Laguna Hills was third in 17:43.
