Описание: Informational video on the Diamond pistons we will be using for this blown SBC build on methanol with 8-71 Blower. Selecting pistons for boost is a big decision, so hopefully this helps you if you are considering building a boosted engine. Piston strength and more piston above the top ring is a key part of the design, so these pistons are heavier than most naturally aspirated pistons.

Special shout out to Steve Morris Engines! This is a sbc 406 with a planned boost level of 20-22 lbs of boost with a roots 8-71 blower on dual carbs on methanol. The 48 Ford is something very different at the dragstrip for sure. The car weighs in around 3480 with me in it so it will need that roots blower to get it moving!! Best ET Naturally aspirated with the 406 was a 6.06 @ 111 MPH. Shooting for 1100 HP at the crank, maybe more, but trying to keep my expectations in reason with a Dart SHP block.
