How to Open a VW T5 sliding door that won't open from inside or outside

This video looks in to how to assess and fix a VW T5 sliding door that won't open from the inside or outside.
The O/S door packed up a while ago and i didn't get around to having a look at it, one door was adequate for what I do.
The other sliding door just stopped working too, so I needed to fix it.
The hardest part doing this was the door card. Because of the row of 3 seats facing the back of the vehicle it is almost impossible to get them off without damage. The upper window trim comes off first, basically pulling and prising, the lower one was an ass and I damaged it.
Now the door card is removed try and find the latch at the end of the cable on the side that is toward the back of the vehicle. Pull on it as the cable should and the latch will open, freeing the door so it can be opened.
From here you can assess if the cables are moving when the handle or inside handle are pulled. I had no cable movement on the upper cable going to the rear latch.
The big mechanism looks sealed and VW definitely would just replace it, but it can be opened up. Sure enough the cable had just come unattached, so after re-attaching and re installation it's now working again.
Total cost - zero. Apart from a killed door card. I might get one of those storage ones or just put an easily removable one on.
I feel more confident tackling the other side now, maybe another video to come!
