Struggling to Get Sick Leave in Germany | Doctor on Leave 😟 | Daily Life Vlog 🇩🇪
Hi friends! 👋 I’m an Indian student living in Germany, and in today’s vlog I’m sharing my real experience of trying to get a sick leave certificate (Krankschreibung) for my hospital.
First, I need to send my sick leave confirmation to my hospital, but when I visit my doctor, I find out that my doctor is on leave and he refers me to another doctor. Before going to the clinic, I stop by the supermarket to return my used bottles and do some grocery shopping. One of the best things in Germany is the Pfand system, where you get money back after returning bottles. ♻️💶
After shopping, I go to the gym for my workout. Later, I try to visit the second doctor, but unfortunately he is also on leave. This situation becomes stressful because according to German rules, you must submit your sick leave to your workplace within 3 days, and without a doctor’s certificate it is not possible.
I then try visiting a third doctor, but the process is taking time. In this video, I’ll share my experience and challenges, and I will update you in the next video about what finally happened.
