091-Continuing My Battle Against Onion White Rot-1st July 2024

Описание: This video (091) reveals the results at the end of my third year of trying to actively manage onion white rot. My approach has been exactly the same as described in video 079 (July 2023) with the exception of the use of a new variety of onion.

This is Santero which is said by the Premier Seeds Direct website (July 24) to be resistant to onion white rot. Other sites say there are no resistant varieties, and so this could be a confusion between onion white rot and onion downy mildew to which Santero onions are resistant. Nevertheless, I though it worth trying a new variety that is resistant to something. The Quickcrop site also claims that the variety Golden Bear is resistant (July 24).
Previously I have been using a variety called Setton.
