Previewing Lee Health Fort Myers

Lee Health Ft. Myers will feature a 400,000 square foot acute care hospital with up to 168 beds, including 24 ICU beds, a 44-bed emergency department, and ten inpatient operating rooms. The 53-acre site sits at the corner of Colonial and Challenger Boulevards in Ft. Myers. “The campus is quite large, and we see expansion going for the next five to ten years,” said Dr. Antonucci. “It's central to downtown Fort Myers. But also access to Lehigh Acres is important, and its proximity to I-75 will make it easy for patients to get there.”

The campus will also feature a medical office building with 8 operating rooms. It will be the home of Lee Health’s Musculoskeletal Institute. “We really have designed this to cater to the active individuals of Southwest Florida and getting them back to the lives that they want to be living each day to their highest functional level,” said Duke Walker, the VP of Operations for the Lee Health Musculoskeletal Institute. “You're going to see comprehensive array of experts dedicated to you and getting you better and helping you heal, whether it's an inpatient injury or an outpatient surgery.” The first phase of construction is slated for completion in 2028.
