Shabbir, who is often referred to as the “King of Kashmir,” is also a part of Lashkar’s organization, The Resistance Front. This organization was also involved in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Shabbir had earlier been arrested in 2007 with weapons like an AK-47 and grenades. He was released on bail in 2019. After that, he fled to Bangladesh and started living in Dhaka, from where he handled sleeper cells of ISI and Lashkar.

Recently, several people were arrested from Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi, and all of them were being handled by Shabbir. The members of his module had put up anti-India posters across the country.

Shabbir was planning a major attack on India — but not anymore.
