Ubbe is still fascinated by Dany and is helping her take back the Seven Kingdoms.
Although soon he begins to doubt their cause after Dany shared her own insecurities of being Queen. He thinks it's likely that the two will go to war against each other rather than fight together, which she is confused by until she finds out that he has betrayed her by planning to take the Seven Kingdoms for himself. She banishes him for this betrayal. Even Ivar, Ubbe's own bloodthirsty brother, is appalled at his actions.
Dany declares Ubbe as her enemy and vows to kill him if she sees him again.
And she does see him again; on the opposite side of the battlefield. Although, Ubbe can't bring himself to attack Dany.
Instead, he tries to make peace with her, though she is not willing to forgive him so easily. But she can't kill him and she lets him leave. The war continues.
