It’s Tax Day in the United States today which means it's time to celebrate the biggest winner in the History of poker (and highest earner from the 2016 WSOP Main Event final table) The IRS!

In fact, the IRS is the biggest winner in poker EVERY YEAR at the World Series and elsewhere.

Let’s just take a second, and check out the IRS’ scores at the WSOP ME Final Table - over just the last 2 years:

2015: $8,467,091 “won” by the IRS. That’s $783,745 MORE than Joe McKeehen’s total haul ($7,683,346) for winning the whole event in 2015 - which to be fair only amounted to $4,297,394 - after the IRS took it’s $3,385,952 cut!

2016: Outdoing its own performance - the IRS bagged up $8,995,826 from the 2016 WSOP ME Final Table. The biggest donor? Qui Nguyen - who lost $3,324,157 heads-up to the IRS AFTER winning the event!
