• Standards for light levels are established: 90% reflectivity is defined as white and 6% reflectivity is defined as black.
• The video focuses on the most difficult, extreme scenario: detecting a black target (6% reflectivity) in front of a white background (90% reflectivity).

Why the Curve Flatness Matters:
