2026 New African Film Festival Trailer

Описание: Now in its 22nd year, the New African Film Festival (NAFF), presented by AFI and Africa World Now Project, brings the vibrancy of African filmmaking from all corners of the continent and across the diaspora to the Washington, DC, area.

Featuring 25 films from 18 countries, this year’s festival opens with MY FATHER’S SHADOW, the feature debut of Nigerian British filmmaker Akinola Davies Jr.. The film made history as Nigeria’s first-ever Cannes selection, where it won a Caméra d’Or Special Mention, and was later chosen as the United Kingdom’s official submission for the 2026 Academy Awards.
