A vlog of our time in Turangi in the North Island of New Zealand. A common place that people use as a base to then go on to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. An 8 hourish hike that is supposed to be beautiful, however weather conditions have meant we haven’t been able to do it when planned.
Accommodation
Riverstone Lodge, a beautiful hostel where you can also get private rooms for good prices.
Activities
There are a lot of hikes/walks around Turangi including up the river near by
There is a town centre to explore, but with not too much going on
A $10 per day local gym called Manaaki that you can sign up for
The Tongariro Crossing is the key hike nearby though
Water rafting near on the Tongariro river
Tokaanu’s thermal hot pools
