This episode is my amend. I admit, I never got Bourdain. I saw him as an over-tanned CNN travel intruder. How wrong I was. I regret only discovering Tony's raw, brilliant honesty after his passing, when a friend gave me Kitchen Confidential. I've been a disciple ever since.

We can all get it wrong. Tony got it wrong on his first visit to Cambodia. He made his amends a decade later with a brilliant No Reservations episode. Now I follow him to pay tribute to the writer, foodie, and rock’n’rolla who taught me how to see.
