Описание: 1962 Swedish school championships javelin with Lennart Hedmark (17-18 years) at Östermalms IP.
It is age group B (17-18 years old) and the competition toopk place in Stockholm on Östermalms IP. Most of the events were held at Stockholm Olympic Stadium, but the javelin was for most of the groups at Östermalms IP close to the Olympic Stadium.
The only thrower whom I can 100% identify is Lennart Hedmark.
He is wearing black cloths and won the competition. In this year he turned 18 and his best performance of the year was 71,35.
Later on his best performances was i decathlon.
In 1971 he was silver medalist at the European Championships.
In javelin his PB was 81,94/1966 (old model), in decathlon 8168 points and in pentathlon 4107 points.
He lives alson in Karlstad like me and Raimo Pihl and I will send him the recording - perhaps he can identify some other participants.
I participated that year on the same arena but in age group C (15-16 years old) and was #3.....
Anders asked Lennart and he conforms that it is from above mentioned competition and he has saved the results for the top3:
1. Lennart Hedmark 67,46 (CR);
2. Bengt Andersson 62,27 (PB);
3. Bengt Perälä 62,23.
Swedish Coach Gusti Laurell (Javelin till 1971-07-01 than Anders Borgström took over) & (Longjump) did film this in the days and Jens Lind did send me the box with 100 reels (8 & 16mm films).
