Описание: X Games 2001 vert finals was an amazing experience to witness! By 2001 I wasn't filming skateboarding anymore, I had a fence installation business with my friend Chad who makes an appearance at the end of this episode. Chad and I didn't have a ticket, but I had a friend Alex who worked for Comcast at the time who was inside the event. Well Al said if we could get to a certain door he would open it and get us in. So we found a construction trailer that was up against the barbed wire fence surrounding the arena, climbed the fence, jumped down to the stairs of the construction trailer and got to the door where AL let us in. We had no lanyards or press passes but I guess because I had my camera and looked the part no one stopped or questioned us. I couldn't believe it. We found ourselves on the ramp level of this huge contest and I got to filming. Now I've filmed professional skateboarding for years at this point, but the level of technical tricks and the consistency of execution these guys where throwing down was unreal. Nobody has ever seen any of this footage and I'm really proud of it. Watching this episode brought me so much joy. It was a magical day where everything came together to even be there. Also if you don't know my friend Neil Herrick @noodle does all these episodes for me and he was in the stands that day. Now 20 years later he's bringing it into the light for me. I am so grateful for his help and friendship. Hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I do. Thanks to Alex and Chad for being the "we got you" friends.
