Dwyane Wade loves prowling the baseline. In case you didn’t know, one of the best ways to secure good post up positioning is to cross screen from one low block to the other. It creates space and allows you a deep catch. Now we all know how great a postup player Wade is, and some of these plays are of him catching the ball deep on the block because of that. Others are him patrolling that line in order to properly position himself to explode up for powerful putbacks. The rest are just of him brilliantly balancing the baseline as a point of attack.
This video is NOT about how he attacks the line off the bounce. Driving baseline is something he has done spectacularly throughout his career (including his love of driving at the line and spinning back middle when they cut it off), but this isn’t that. This video is about how he uses the baseline when he is off the ball, and what he does when he catches it on those plays. Enjoy.
