Doedijns delivered the complete hydraulic installation, including e-controls for the pile gripper used to place monopoles for the Veja Mate windpark.
This frame has been installed on the world’s largest wind turbine foundation & installation vessel: “Seajacks Scylla”.
The pile gripper for the Veja Mate wind park will be used for the placement of 67 XXL monopoles, each having a weight up to 1300 tons, a diameter up to 7.8 meters and a length of 85 meters.
The length of the XXL monopoles and the influence of the sea are forces that should be taken into account structurally. To prevent the heave on the pole from damaging the complete construction, this installation is provided with a heave compensation system.
