We're taking a bus to Penang!

The last we took an Aeroline bus it was to Singapore many years ago, so this time instead of the train we decided to go to Penang bus instead.

Aeroline boasts of "coaches are truly executive coaches with our cabin crew on board to serve meals, hot drinks, blankets and pillows. You can truly relax in our modern coach that offers on board entertainment via our touchscreen pad that serves you the latest selection of movies, music, and games." so we were eager to get ourselves reacquainted.

Since "only fully vaccinated with negative result of a swab test/home test kit performed not more than 3 days (72 hours) prior to your departure date will be allowed to board" we duly complied and together with our bus tickets were allowed onto the extremely comfortable bus.

The bus eventually departed a little later than expected at 9:40am, and at about 12:00pm the bus stopped at the Simpang Pulai R&R on the outskirts of Ipoh. We got to stretch our legs while some took the opportunity to get some snacks. Twenty minutes later the bus resumed its trip and like clockwork arrived at Queensbay Mall at 2:30pm.

And what did we think of Aeroline? At RM60.00 per person (approximately USD/EUR13) the fare was 50% more expensive than the regular buses that ply the Kuala Lumpur to Penang route, which we felt was well worth the extra money spent. Would we ride the Aeroline again? Heck yeah!

Lastly, we feel that it is our civic duty to remind everyone that while masks are now optional outdoors, it is still mandatory indoors!
