পাহাড়ি ঢলের পানি প্রবেশ কমতে শুরু করেছে ময়মনসিংহ, শেরপুর ও নেত্রকোণায়। তবে দুর্ভোগ কমছে না দুর্গতদের। উজানের পানি বিভিন্ন নদ-নদী হয়ে বইছে ভাটির দিকে। ময়মনসিংহের ধোবাউড়া ও হালুয়াঘাটের ১৯টি ইউনিয়নের ৮০টি গ্রাম জলমগ্ন। দর্শা ও নেতাই নদীর পানিতে প্লাবিত বিস্তীর্ণ অঞ্চল। জলমগ্ন বাড়িঘর-রাস্তাঘাট। শেরপুরে এখন পর্যন্ত ৮ জনের মৃত্যুর খবর পাওয়া গেছে। মহারশি নদীর ভাঙ্গা বাঁধ দিয়ে ৩ দিন ধরেই পানি ঢুকছে শেরপুরের লোকালয়ে। স্রোতের তোড়ে বাঁধ সংস্কারের কোনো উপায় নেই।
