in like a lion out like a lamb welcome to March

Описание: it really felt like winter was not going to end around here, Unusually cold and icy for a while... Finally! we have warm weather, sweaters most of the day, sunshine and shedding horses

its been a busy month for us

we finally found a pony for the boys to ride, her name is Bitsy...she is 19 years old and has raised Many kids! I swear every where we go, people stop to say they know Bitsy.. She is a real Gem of horse.

horse shopping has been un believable in BC. The horse market has been a Sellers market for sure! The price of broke sound & sane horse is the highest i've seen it...and then everything else in between is blowing my mind that its selling and for money. I really feel for the in experienced horse shoppers!
we have started posting tips and sharing experiences for the beginner horse shoppers on our other social pages.

This also has prompted us to do some shopping too!

We literally can not keep up with the demand on horses, especially our own grown horses!

So we went out there and started looking for prospects that we think would do very well with our clientelle base. Let me tell you, this was not EASY

We looked at a lot of horses, and ended up buying two...

Funny story... we literally paid our deposit on one horse, and left the horse with the owners as it was so insanely misrepresented that we could not believe that people would think we would not notice how much was 'left out' from the horses story...
any ways haha another lesson learnt on horse shopping (and we have a long list that we go thru when looking)

Meet Tango - we actually started him when he was younger, and had good notes about his trainability, so when he was offered we jumped

Meet River - an older paint mare, that we were fairly sold on her by the photos and conversation with owners but drove several hours with truck and trailer to go see her in person, she passed many of the things on our 'list' for a nice little prospect to put some time into brush her up in her training level and then will be offered to our clients.

Feels incredibly good to be beach riding again, there is something about the sun & sand that makes the day magic.

as well, we took the boys out to the hills for the first mountain ride for the season.. this time of year the stallions are starting to get aggressive and will be fighting for mares.. so we tend to only bring geldings out

as always, the feral foals are doing amazing in their new homes and ranger is beginning to play rough housing with the other youngsters.
