Saint Lucia is unique among the matriarchs by how much we know of her death, she was martyred by recidivists, and her martyrdom involved her being subject to the sounds of other captives that went through immeasurable pain.

Her mercy, love, and eternal faith is an inspiration to every sister in the Imperium!

They took her sight, they stole her peace,
Blinded in dark, her pain won’t cease.
And though her tears could drown the stars,
She bore her wounds, her faith unmarred.
For even as her body broke,
No heretic could crush her hope.

In agony’s grasp, her heart stayed whole,
Though sorrow’s weight, she bore it all.
Her courage burned where others fell,
Yet her faith remained eternal.

The first to die, a tormented heart,
By rod and flame, his end did start.
He cried aloud, his anguish vast,
His final breath drawn deep and fast.
This sorrow fell on Lucia’s ear,
Her heart weighed heavy, bound by fear.

She felt each scream, each mournful cry,
In silence bound, she heard them die.
Though grief weighed heavy, dark and fell,
Yet her faith remained eternal.

The third to die, a despairing heart,
He cursed his fate, from faith did part.
In pleading cries, he sought reprieve,
But died in shame, by faith deceived.
This torment too, Lucia bore,
Her heart shaken to the core.

To traitor’s cries, she turned her face,
With love unbroken, bound by grace.
In darkest hour, no heart would quell,
Yet her faith remained eternal.

At last she stood, of valor crowned,
Unbroken still by wound or pain.
Though breath grew faint and flesh grew frail,
Still her faith remained eternal.
