Is your baby pulling their legs up, crying with a hard belly, or fussy after feeds? In this video I demonstrate simple, safe, and effective steps to relieve baby abdominal pain and gas — suitable for newborns and infants. I’m an RN and I’ll show you exactly how to do each move, what to watch for, and when to get urgent help.
What I show in this video: • Quick assessment: how to check baby’s temperature, belly, and feeding.
• Gentle tummy massage (circular and “I Love You” strokes) — demonstrated.
• Bicycle legs and knee-to-chest for gas relief.
• Burping techniques after feeds.
• Warm compress (how to apply safely).
• Feeding adjustments (pacing, burp more, bottle angle) and breastfeeding tips.
• When abdominal pain is an emergency — clear red flags to watch for.

On-screen step-by-step procedure to demonstrate (short, camera-friendly)
1. Quick visual & touch check (voiceover): look at color, breathing, feeding status; feel belly (soft vs. hard).
2. Burp baby upright: hold over shoulder, pat lightly 2–3 minutes.
3. Tummy massage (1): clockwise circular strokes around the belly button (use baby oil or lotion). 8–10 slow circles.
4. “I Love You” massage (2): trace “I” (down center), “L” (down then across), then “U” (clockwise arc) — follows intestine path.
5. Bicycle legs: gently move legs in bicycle motion for 20–30 seconds; then knee-to-chest hold for 10–15 seconds. Repeat 2–3 times.
6. Warm compress: wrap warm (not hot) water bottle in towel; apply 1–2 minutes to baby’s tummy while monitoring comfort.
7. Feeding adjustments: try smaller, slower feeds; keep bottle tilted so nipple stays full of milk; more frequent burps.
8. Reassess baby’s behavior and belly after techniques; if still in pain or red flags present — go to doctor/ER.
