Ugandan traders have renewed their demands to Parliament seeking
compensation of $14 m is UGX 52.2 billion from the gov’t for
losses they incurred during the armed insurgency in neighboring
South Sudan. Through their chairman, Rashid Manafwa, they seek
the President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and Salva Kiir
of Southern Sudan to pronounce on this matter as urgently as
possible.
