Residents of Barberton in Mpumalanga are demanding the re-establishment of Umjindi Municipality.
The community held a mass meeting today, where they demanded that the 2016 merger to form the City of Mbombela be rescinded.
Municipal Demarcation Board CEO Manye Moroka says it was in the best interest of the area 9 years ago, when the decision was taken.
