This tutorial covers the fundamental forward and backward bar slant techniques required to be able to play harmony on fixed tuning slide instruments including the lap steel and slide dobro. The demonstration is done on a square neck slide dobro tuned to the GBDGBD open 'G' tuning.
A simple melody is played first as a single note exercise, followed by two part harmony keeping the bar straight, then finally two part harmony using both forward and backward bar slants.
