Описание: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, speaking in Bengaluru on February 10, said there is no confusion over the leadership issue involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, clarifying that the matter has been discussed openly with the Congress High Command.
DKS warned party leaders and legislators against making statements on a possible CM change, recalling AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge’s advice to “shut their mouths” and focus on work. He said comments for or against him were damaging the party.
His remarks come amid renewed speculation after MLC Yathindra, Siddaramaiah’s son, stated that the High Command had signaled a full five-year term for the Chief Minister.
Despite pre-budget meetings chaired by Siddaramaiah, Shivakumar left for Delhi after seeking the CM’s permission. In Delhi, he met party leaders on the Assam Assembly elections, where he has been appointed a Congress observer along with Bhupesh Baghel.
DKS also announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team in the Revenue Department to probe an alleged nexus looting the Irrigation Department.
Meanwhile, CM Siddaramaiah reiterated that the High Command’s decision is final and dismissed questions on visiting Delhi, appearing upset when reporters persisted.
