In 1981, at age 10, David Sanford Adams made his first documentary for a fifth grade project. It was shot on Super-8 film, and the subject was the isolated population of Eastern Box Turtles sequestered on an island in a lake near his hometown. The documentary failed to produce any evidence of this species being suspended in evolution, just one dead turtle. Since then he has, throughout his life, experimented with video production and now works as a producer for Public Television creating original Documentaries, Arts Programming, and Educational Series programs like Healthy Hannah's Healthy Choice Heroes, EyeWonder, and Forgotten Founder. Adams's work has garnered him Emmy's, Telly's and National Educational Television Association Awards. David Adams, or Wavy Davy, as he prefers to be called, lives in Columbia with his wife and their 7 year old son, Sean.
