This song comes from the 1929 movie "The Broadway Melody." It premiered at Graumans Chinese Theatre on February 1, 1929, and was the very first sound film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Notable other songs from the movie include "Broadway Melody" and "You Were Meant For Me". ... both of which rolls I have. Maybe I'll post them at some point.
