I'm not sure if it is just me coming out of the flu, or the messed up state of the world, but yesterday I was thinking on the past. The thumbnail photo is of the 'Senior Boys Choir' that I and six others created in our final years of high-school in Queensland some 32 years ago.
Sadly(?) the early 90s was still a time of no phone cameras and no Internet, so our performance as 'Seven Elvises' and a song about chocolate to the tune of 'Amazing Grace' are just dim memories.
Looking back now I can see how it set me up well for a #filk career.
This song has nothing to do with that, but Pete St. John seems to have written it in a similar state of nostalgia. Here is Pete singing a verse:
