Описание: You mentioned that you're about 7 months along and having very numb and swollen hands, especially at night. This can be very uncomfortable and contribute to losing a good nights sleep because you just cant get comfortable. It would be best to bring this up with your ob provider and they can ask you more specific questions and decide if further investigation or treatment is warranted. It is normal to have this during pregnancy because the accumulations of fluids in your body during pregnancy sometimes this extra pressure puts pressure on the nerves of your arms and causes numbness and tingling. Actually some studies show that 35% of pregnant ladies have some degree of carpal tunnel syndrome and it can help if you splint your wrist at night and put it in a neutral position. Sometimes additional treatments are warranted, again this is why it would be good to talk to your doctor and they can decide if these other treatments will work for you. If you have any other questions for me feel free to ask them at our facebook page at facebook.com/intermountainmoms and recommend us to your friends and family too.
