Tigers are the biggest of all the big cats, with lions and jaguars ranking second and third.

There are currently 6 species of tiger, including the Indo-Chinese, Bengal, Amur (Siberian), Sumatran, South China, and Malayan tigers. All are classed as endangered.

Tiger mothers will spend the fist 2 months with her cubs in the den, and then spend the following 22 months passing on all essential survival skills
