Welcome to Part 27 of the Laravel 12 Multi-Vendor E-commerce Website Development Series.
In this lesson, we’ll enhance the admin panel by integrating the beautiful and user-friendly SweetAlert2 jQuery Library for delete confirmation alerts.
This feature will improve the user experience by replacing the basic JavaScript confirm() dialog with a more stylish, modern, and consistent alert system throughout the project.
🚀 What You'll Learn in This Video:
✅ Add basic JavaScript confirm alert for delete action
✅ Install and configure SweetAlert2 jQuery library
✅ Apply SweetAlert2 to delete Subadmins & Categories
✅ Make the confirmation script reusable for all future modules
✅ Submit form or redirect based on the module type
📌 Key Implementation Steps:
🔸 1. Simple JavaScript Confirm Alert (Initial Step)
We begin by implementing a basic JavaScript confirm alert for the Subadmins module.
Apply the same logic to the Category deletion button as well.
🔸 2. SweetAlert2 Integration
📥 Installation Options:
Install via npm
Or include via CDN in scripts.blade.php
✅ Testing SweetAlert:
Add a basic SweetAlert test in custom.js to ensure the setup works.
🛠️ Update Delete Link for Subadmin:
Now pass module info using data- attributes and remove direct link to allow dynamic routing.
🧩 Reusable SweetAlert jQuery Script in custom.js:
Create a generic click event that handles both direct link-based and form-based delete actions using SweetAlert confirmation.
🧾 Update Category Delete Button (Form-based):
Update the delete button for categories within a form and configure it with data-module and data-id for dynamic behavior.
🎯 Results:
✅ Subadmins can now be deleted via SweetAlert confirmation
✅ Categories can also be deleted using the same unified confirmation script
✅ A more professional and intuitive UX across admin modules
🔔 Next Up:
We’ll continue enhancing the admin panel and make this SweetAlert script fully reusable across all future modules like Products, Coupons, Users, and more.
