Ash Wednesday and Chinese New Year - Revelation 21:5; 2 Corinthians

Описание: This year Lent coincides with the Chinese New Year.

Lent is the practice of church that gets us ready for Easter that moves us towards the cross. The first day is called Ash Wednesday. The ashes reminds us that we are people of sins and are in need of a Savior.

From the ashes we journey to the cross and eventually to the resurrection. Out of the ashes we become new in Christ.

And in Chinese new year we celebrate newness.

Revelation 21:5
Truth #1: As we have answered Christ invitation to come to Him, trusted in the cross and His sacrifice for us, He is making all things new -in our lives and in the world.

What’s new in your life?

Here are the truths, the new things, of you and me because of Christ:

1. We are chosen by God
2. We are sons and daughters of the King
3. We are His delight
4. We are well pleasing to Him
5. We are more than conquerors
6. We are his disciples
7. We are makers of disciples
8. We are forgiven
9. We are a work-in-progress
10. We are warriors
11. We are called for a purpose
12. We receive gifts and talents from God.
13. We are a brother/sister in the family of God
14. Destined for eternal life
15. Made perfectly according to God’s plan
16. We are servants
17. We are his temple where God lives
18. We are his beloved
19. We are in authority over the power of the enemy in our lives and in the world.
20. We are kept by the power of God
21. We are dangerous to the enemy. We are NOT victims. We are victors!
22. We are covered by Jesus’ blood
23. We are a light in the darkness
24. We are salt that preserve and season
25. We are cracked pots! We are broken clay jars and the treasure of Christ in us spills out of us.
26. We are the healed ones of the Lord.

Look at this every day and know you are made new day by day.
