Flying-foxes get presents: Cinders, Divabelle, Copernicus, Whisky, Poppy and Serendipity

Описание: Mandi sent me these clips from earlier this year, and I thought they would be great to show for Christmas Day, though this will be made public on Christmas Eve in some countries.
The batties in the aviary got presents. A friend made pool noodle covers from brightly coloured polar fleece and posted them, so Mandi opened the package in the aviary. Initially the kids were disinterested, until the crackling paper and the sound of the sticky tape tweaked their curiosity, and they became involved in the excitement.
Poppy swung her pool noodle so she could grab at the presents in the table. Divabelle used the noodle cover as a scarf at one stage and a circus act to swing and get to the table to grab for more of the excitement.
A good time was had by all, until Poppy and Whisky pulled the package off the table.
The pool noodle covers were a great success even before they were put onto the noodles and hung.

I love Mandi's videos - her love for her batty charges, the enrichment she gives them.
She's building an airlock for the Waltorf Batoria aviary if anyone wants to donate towards her costs.

The Giving Fund doesn’t charge any fees (so the bats get more money) but PP doesn’t itemise out the amount, they just send a total every month, and we don’t know if the money is for Tolga or for Megabattie.
