"The Man In The Dark" is a radio drama by John Ferguson, adapted for BBC Radio's *Saturday Night Theatre*. The story follows Sandy Kinloch, a blind and destitute World War I veteran, on a foggy night in Ealing. He is hired by a prominent man to sit in a room and make noise as the man meets with an apprehensive visitor. However, the meeting goes wrong, and Kinloch's benefactor is murdered.
Although Kinloch is blind and could not have seen the crime, he is knocked unconscious and kidnapped by a woman working with the assassin, who assumes he has information about the murder. As Kinloch is held captive, a private investigator and a journalist race to solve the case, unaware of Kinloch's blindness and his new, dangerous predicament. The drama is a thrilling mystery that explores themes of wartime trauma, mistaken identity, and the complexities of human perception.
