Prosecutors argued that Austin Thompson knew what he was doing when he executed a plan to create mass damage in shooting 7 people, killing 5, in Raleigh in October 2022. Thompson pleaded guilty to all charges, and prosecutors are pushing for a maximum sentence of five life sentences plus an additional 1,634 months in prison.
