The live performance by Stoneground on June 30, 1971, during the closing week at the Fillmore West in San Francisco was a significant event in the band's career. The venue was famous for hosting some of the biggest names in rock and roll, and Stoneground was lucky enough to perform there before its closure. Bill Graham, the legendary concert promoter, introduced the band to the audience.
The concert was also recorded and broadcasted by KSAN 95 FM, a prominent radio station in San Francisco. The Fillmore West closing week was a significant moment in music history, and KSAN broadcasted some of the final shows, including the Grateful Dead show on July 2nd. Stoneground's performance was part of this historic event, and it's no wonder it was recorded and broadcasted.

Stoneground was a rock band from Concord, California that formed in 1970 as a trio before expanding to a 10-piece band for their debut self-titled album in 1971. The band gained attention for their unique blend of rock, blues, and soul, and appeared in two films, Medicine Ball Caravan (1971) and Dracula A.D. 1972 (1972).
Despite releasing three albums, singer Sal Valentino left the band in 1973, and three other members went on to form pop group Pablo Cruise. Stoneground continued on until 1982, with only Tim Barnes and Annie Sampson remaining from the original lineup. In 2003, Barnes and Steve Price re-formed the band and released a studio album the following year. https://stoneground.uk/
