Confused about the notes? Here’s a quick guide!

For example, if you see 'F5' then you break it apart into:

F = The note
5 = The octave (Higher the number the higher the pitch)

You may also see ♯ and ♭ between the note and octave for example F♯5 or E♭5

♯ = Sharp (half-step up) So F♯5

♭ = Flat (half-step down) So E♭5 is between D5 and E5

Notes ascend in this order: C, C♯, D, E♭, E, F, F♯, G, G♯, A, B♭, B
