SOPE : Hobi 'Proposed' To Yoongi On His Birthday

Yoongi turned 33 on March 9, 2026. I must admit I was shocked when he started singing lol

I was waiting for hours for Hobi's birthday greeting for Yoongi. Just when I thought he wouldn't post anything, Hobi uploaded this. If you think Yoongi looked uncomfortable, well, that's because he was.

Yoongi probably managed to deal with the discomfort knowing that his vitamin Hobi was there. And how can Hobi not be there for the birthday surprise, when Yoongi was there for his?

There's something about SOPE and birthdays. Remember when Hobi was the guest star in Suchwita, and Yoongi surprised him with a birthday cake?

It was even believed that Yoongi attended Hobi's birthday during his enlistment. The original poster (OP) claimed that Yoongi was the guy at the back wearing a green hoodie.

While it was hard to see the man's face, Hobi's gesture seemingly confirmed OP's claim.

Yoongi did a quick livestream to celebrate his birthday with ARMY. As expected, the "Yoongi Marry Me" proposals started to flood the comments section. Yoongi usually ignores them.

"Yoongi Marry Me" is always expected in BTS' livestreams, even when Yoongi wasn't there. But during Yoongi's 2026 birthday livestream, ARMY were not the only ones trying to get his attention. Hobi decided to extend his birthday surprise.

Unlike the previous proposals, Yoongi read Hobi's message out loud. Even though Yoongi is so used to these "Yoongi Marry Me" proposals, Hobi's still made him blush.

The truth is that Yoongi brought these proposals upon himself. While trying to be cool and flirty with ARMY, he said this. What Yoongi failed to realize was that ARMY would take his words seriously. He played along at first. But it became a little too much.

The “Yoongi, marry me” meme has appeared everywhere from social media to live events. He just can’t escape it!

Anyway, that wasn't the first time Hobi "proposed" to Yoongi. He was so impressed by Yoongi's piano skills that Hobi said ARMY's popular line.

That angle showed Yoongi seemingly brushing off the proposal as always. But a different angle appeared to show Yoongi's subtle reply to Hobi.

After years of proposals, I believe we have finally found a winner.
