★Information:To compile the Forber Five rankings, we follow the same procedures used to calculate our list of the world’s billionaires: valuing major assets, poring over financial documents, and speaking with analysts, attorneys, managers, other industry players and, in some cases, the moguls themselves.
For the first time since we started measuring the net worth of hip-hop’s top stars in 2011, Diddy is no longer No. 1 in his race to $1 billion with Jay-Z and Dr. Dre, even as all three moguls’ fortunes continue to rise
5-Eminem-$100 million (tie)
Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972), known professionally as Eminem (often stylized as EMINƎM), is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, record executive, and actor.
Though he’s not a businessman on the level of Jay-Z, Eminem is still a business, man. He’s the bestselling rapper of all time and moved more albums in the U.S. during the 2000s than any act in any genre. Fresh off new album Revival, he makes his Forbes Five debut as former listmember Birdman, the chief of Cash Money Records, slips below the $100 million mark
4-Drake- $100 million (tie)
Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986)is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a career as a rapper, he departed the series in 2007 following the release of his debut mixtape, Room for Improvement. He released two further independent projects, Comeback Season and So Far Gone, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009.
The youngest impresario among hip-hop’s richest, 31-year-old Drake has earned more than $250 million since 2010 before taxes and spending. A tireless output—he’s released four album-length records in the last two years—and relentless touring helped the former Degrassi: The Next Generation actor graduate from rapper to global superstar. An equity stake in Virginia Black whiskey and pricy estates in Toronto, Canada, and Hidden Hills, California, pad out his holdings
3-Dr. Dre: $770 million
Andre Romelle Young(born February 18, 1965),better known by his stage name Dr. Dre, is an American rapper, record producer and entrepreneur. He is the founder and current CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics. Dre was previously the co-owner of, and an artist on, Death Row Records. He has produced albums for and overseen the careers of many rappers, including 2Pac, The D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Xzibit, Knoc-turn'al, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar. He is credited as a key figure in the popularization of West Coast G-funk, a style of rap music characterized as synthesizer-based with slow, heavy beats. As of 2017, he is the third richest figure in hip hop according to Forbes with a net worth of $740 million.

2-Diddy: $825 million
Sean John Combs (born November 4, 1969),also known by his stage names Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy and Diddy, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, and entrepreneur. He was born in New York City and was raised in Mount Vernon, New York. He worked as a talent director at Uptown Records before founding his label Bad Boy Entertainment in 1993. His debut album No Way Out (1997) has been certified seven times platinum and was followed by successful albums such as Forever (1999), The Saga Continues... (2001), and Press Play (2006). In 2009, Combs formed the musical group Diddy – Dirty Money and released the critically well-reviewed and commercially successful album Last Train to Paris (2010).

1-Jay-Z: $900 million
Shawn Corey Carter (born December 4, 1969),known professionally as Jay-Z (stylized as JAY-Z),is an American rapper and businessman. He is one of the best-selling musicians of all time, having sold more than 50 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide, while receiving 21 Grammy Awards for his music.MTV ranked him the "Greatest MC of all time" in 2006. Rolling Stone ranked three of his albums—Reasonable Doubt (1996), The Blueprint (2001), and The Black Album (2003)—among The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.In 2018, Forbes estimated his net worth at $900 million, making him the richest hip hop artist in the world.
