New Kamuning Edsa Busway Modern Station and Walkway Itatayo na
A new footbridge will be constructed to replace the so-called "Mt. Kamuning" along the EDSA Busway Kamuning Station, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon says on Thursday (Aug. 14, 2025).
The new EDSA Busway Kamuning Concourse will have pedestrian-friendly walkway and wheelchair lifts for commuters, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
The EDSA Kamuning Busway Station and footbridge is set to be completed by December
Building a new Kamuning footbridge and renovating the EDSA Busway station closest to it will cost around P89 million.
The total cost of the project is at P89,129,402.57, according to a project briefer obtained by ABS-CBN News.
The new covered footbridge will connect the Kamuning Busway Station to the northbound and southbound sides of EDSA. It will have covered stairways, 2 elevators and a wheelchair lifter.
"These elevators/manlifts/wheelchair lifters are vital for inclusive accessibility.
Mrt 3 and LRT 1 Elevated Walkways along Pasay Taft Avenue was cleared of obstructions and vendors.The Department of Transportation initiated the clearing operations.Now the Stairways and walkways connecting LRT and MRT is now cleared from obstructions.
