The Famous Diving Board Brecon Beacons | Fan y Big Trail

Описание: Joined by my mate Ritchie, we set out on an unforgettable 8-mile hike from Pontsticill up to Fan y Big in the Brecon Beacons. This route delivered jaw-dropping views and eye-watering landscapes that just screamed adventure from start to finish. Even on this windy day it had us wanting more!

Our walk took us past the abandoned upper reservoir above Pontsticill and up onto the ridge, where sweeping views open out across Brecon and the surrounding peaks. From there we pushed on to the summit of Fan y Big, soaking in the incredible scenery.

Of course, we couldn’t miss a quick stop at the famous “diving board” — the iconic rock ledge jutting out over the cliff edge. A real highlight and a must-see spot (with care!).

We finished by wandering across the moorland towards Talybont, discovering a few small waterfalls on the descent that made the perfect end to a fantastic day out.

If you love hiking, big views, and a bit of adventure, this is a route worth adding to your list.
