Fighting the reworked Adyr fight in Lords of the Fallen on Veteran Mode

New Lords of the Fallen update dropped which reworks enemy behavior, most of the boss AI, reworks the Adyr boss fight when going for Radiant Ending and adds a hard mode in the form Veteran Mode. The focus of this video is the Adyr boss fight.

Before, the Adyr boss fight was absolute garbage and anticlimactic. It was similar to Deacons from Dark Souls 3 or Rennala Phase 1 from Elden Ring, but done poorly. Absolutely awful and felt like it was done last minute, weeks before the game released.

Now, the fight is much better, despite it being a Hushed Saint but on crack. This is without a doubt the hardest boss in the game and even more on Veteran Mode. I enjoyed the fight for what it was. It works as a final boss for this game and in a regular Souls game or its contemporaries, this wouldve been an endgame boss before the final ones. On Normal Mode (or Legacy Mode as its called), its pretty challenging, and on here... oh boy. The first phase is fine, but second phase is absolutely insane. Hardly any time to land a hit because nearly every attack he does is followed up by a clone of him following behind. Its similar to the second half of Manfredd in The Last Faith or Promised Consort Radahn in Elden Ring, but cranked to a hundred. Its like they wanted to make something similar to PCR, but didnt get what made that fight as effective as it was. Also this boss is buggy as Adyr will still talk during the end cutscene, resulting in something unintentionally funny. Regardless, this boss was kinda fun, but hectic and a little unfair. However, its a rewarding feeling once you beat him.

This boss is among the ranks of Malenia, Promised Consort Radahn, Green Monster of the Swamp, Cannoneer & Blade Bearer, Absolute Radiance and Brother Asterión as one of the hardest bosses ive fought in these kinds of games.
