Every day at sunset, I play clarinet at a magical, mystical place called “The Secret Hill,” which I discovered in Goa. The spot is incredibly inspiring—surrounded by stunning nature, with the sea, mist, and birds creating an otherworldly atmosphere. The black rocks around us, where we sit, feel like they hold ancient, magical energy. It’s the perfect setting for my project, a solo clarinet journey called “Between the Notes,” which I’ve been working on for a year as part of my healing journey. I improvise on maqamat, creating music that connects deeply with the environment and the present moment. People gather to listen and meditate to the sounds of my clarinet and the silence between them. The beauty and energy of the place make each performance feel like a transformative experience.
