In the year 2023, the Shipping Industry has been busy implementing the GHG emissions regulations on CII. The rules are a part of the incentives from IMO and have the intention of reducing CO2 emissions from shipping in the short term. The CII rules have affected the operations of vessels to some degree where owners and operators have had to have an eye on the development of the CII over the year to be sure to land the vessels in the targeted rating by the end of the year. The SEEMP has been changed and is an even more important tool to handle and improve the energy efficiency of ships.
